This synthesis report outlines the results of the climate training stocktakes conducted by the Academy to understand the current landscape of available climate science training opportunities.The report starts by providing an overview of the WCRP Academy, and how conducting climate science training stocktake is derived from its mission. The following section explains the first and second climate stocktake surveys by giving information about the method, scope, and respondents of the surveys. The results are shown by categorizing the responses under two themes: availability of climate science training opportunities and accessibility of available climate training opportunities. To complement the results of the first climate training stocktale, the results of the conducted in-depth interviews were also shown to further understand the climate training needs of the Global South. The document concludes with the opportunities for the WCRP Academy as a marketplace for climate training.
